A saved place is a bookmark, not a plan
Everyone does this. You read about a restaurant, you save it. Someone recommends a viewpoint, you save it. By the time the trip arrives you have forty pins across a city and no idea which ones fit together.
A map tells you where things are. It doesn't tell you that three of them are on opposite sides of town, or that the one you cared most about is closed on Mondays.
Turning pins into a trip means deciding what happens on which day. That's a calendar problem, not a map problem.
How it works
Paste a link, get your places
No file to export, no account to connect. Share your list from Google Maps, paste the link into Plany, and the places come across with their names, addresses, and locations attached.
Give the list a tag if you want — "Tokyo restaurants", "Lisbon viewpoints" — and it sits in your Library ready to use across any trip.
From there each place behaves like anything else in your itinerary: drop it on a day, give it a time, add a note, or drag it somewhere else entirely.
Step by step
Share your list from Google Maps
Open your saved list in Google Maps, share it, and copy the link. It needs to be a publicly shared list — one that anyone with the link can open.
Open the importer in Plany
Go to Settings → Library → Lists → Import List. Paste the link, add a title or tag if you want one, and import.
Importing lists is a Pro feature.
Place them on days
Your places land in your Library. Open a trip, drop them onto days, give them times, and the itinerary takes shape around the places you already wanted to visit.

What this is and isn't
Your list, your link
Plany imports a list you've chosen to share. It doesn't connect to your Google account, and it can't see anything you haven't shared.
Importing lists is a Pro feature
Creating trips, planning days, and sharing are all on the free plan. List import sits on Pro.
It won't decide the trip for you
The import gets your places into a calendar. What happens on which day is still your call — which is rather the point.
