1. Introduction
Welcome to Plany ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Anytech General Trading LLC ("Anytech"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website (https://plany.ae) and our application available at https://app.plany.ae (collectively, the "Service").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when using the Service, including:
- Name and email address when you create an account
- Profile information you choose to add
- Trip details, itineraries, calendar entries, travel plans, and any images or content you choose to upload or associate with your trips
- Subscription and billing information when you choose a paid plan (payments are processed by third-party providers; we do not store payment card details)
- Communications you send to us, including support requests
Automatically Collected Information
When you access the Service, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device information (such as device type, operating system, and browser)
- IP address and general location information
- Usage data (such as pages viewed, features used, and time spent)
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- To create and manage user accounts
- To process subscriptions and manage billing
- To provide AI-assisted trip planning features and suggestions
- To generate itineraries, PDFs, and calendar exports
- To enable sharing, publishing, and community features you choose to use, including allowing other users to view or copy publicly shared trips as part of the Service's intended functionality
- To communicate with you about updates, support, and service-related notices
- To respond to inquiries and customer support requests
- To monitor usage, analyze trends, and improve performance
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
- To produce aggregated, anonymised insights about travel patterns, which may be published. These never identify individual users or reveal the contents of any specific trip.
AI Features
Plany uses artificial intelligence tools to assist with trip planning and suggestions based on the information you provide. AI processing is used solely to deliver features within the Service and is not used to identify individuals for unrelated purposes. We do not use personal data to train public or general-purpose AI models.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Published content: When you publish a trip, it becomes visible on Plany's public pages under your username. These pages may be indexed by search engines and may appear in search results. Other Plany users may view, save, or copy published trips. You choose what to publish, and you can unpublish at any time — though search engine caches and copies already saved by other users may persist. Sharing a trip by private link is a separate action and does not publish it.
- With specific individuals: When you share a trip by link or invite a collaborator, it is visible only to those people and is not published or indexed.
- Service providers: With trusted third-party providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, database management, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and AI functionality. These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual obligations to protect your information
- Legal obligations: If required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or safety
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, where your information may be transferred as part of the transaction
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. We may also retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Published content is removed from our public pages when you unpublish it or delete your account. Copies held in search engine indexes are outside our control and typically clear over subsequent crawls. Copies other users saved into their own accounts while your trip was published remain with them.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to access and receive a copy of your personal data
- The right to correct or update inaccurate information
- The right to request deletion of your personal data
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws such as GDPR.
To exercise your rights, please contact us at support@plany.ae.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain parts of the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years old, or older where required by the laws of your country — for example, 16 in parts of the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below the applicable minimum age. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect personal data transferred internationally.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
